A coordination meeting of the Ukrainian delegation with representatives of the Radiological Office of the National Nuclear Security Administration of the US Department of Energy was held in Krakow.
The Ukrainian side was represented by delegates from the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine, State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone Management, SSE “CEMRW” and SSE “Radon” Assossiation. Serhii Grinchenko, Deputy General Director for Radioactive Waste Management, was the representative of the “CEMRW” State Enterprise.
The issues regarding the of the physical protection system condition of the “Vektor” Complex and the “Radon” Association chipboard sites and the possibility of their improvement were discussed, the implementation of additional work on the “Vektor” Complex before its commissioning was discussed, and a joint decision was made to continue the measures on the provision of international technical assistance to the SSE “CEMRW” and the “Radon” Association.
Currently, the second stage of the meeting is underway – a seminar on transportation security, at which Andriushchenko Anatoliy – Deputy Director General for Physical Protection – represents the SSE “CEMRW”.
