On April 26, a number of events were held to commemorate the memory and heroism of the liquidators of the Chornobyl accident. On this day, we honor those who saved the world from the worst technological disaster in human history.
On April 26, 1986, the Chornobyl disaster occurred, full of pain, fear and the memory of the lives lost. This day symbolizes the extraordinary courage, and sacrifice of those who fought the consequences of the accident, despite the danger to their own health and lives.
May the spirit of these incredible people be an eternal memory of their courage, self-devotion and sacrifice. May our gratitude and respect for them always be boundless.
The participants of the events laid flowers at the memorials to the «Heroes of Chornobyl», «Those Who Saved the World» and the monument to the fallen soldiers during the Russian-Ukrainian war.
On the square, next to the memorial complex to the Heroes of Chornobyl, the representatives of SAUEZM and invited honored guests awarded employees with certificates of appreciation from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, SAUEZM, and the Kyiv Regional State Administration.
An exhibition of new equipment purchased, instead of the equipment lost during the occupation of the exclusion zone by the Russian military, was organized near the Zirka Polyn memorial complex.
