Vector Complex

The first stage of the “Vektor” production complex is intended for the disposal of short-lived radioactive waste, which was formed as a result of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.

The second stage is intended for the processing of short-lived radioactive waste, long-term storage of long-lived highly active radioactive waste, RAW, which are generated at operating nuclear power plants, industrial enterprises, medical and research institutions, as well as long-term storage of sources of ionizing radiation.

A specially equipped near-surface repository for solid radioactive waste is located on the territory of the Vektor nuclear power plant, which receives radioactive waste from the ChNPP chipboard, immobilized at the liquid radioactive waste processing plant and RW of the Kharkiv special chipboard of “Radon Association”.

Storage facilities for solid radioactive waste TRV-1, TRV-2 were also built, which are intended for receiving for the purpose of burying radioactive waste packages from operating NPPs and SE “NNEGC “Energoatom”.

Among other things, a centralized repository for long-term storage of ionizing radiation sources has been built and is undergoing hot tests.
