In April 2024, acceptance tests were conducted for the systems and equipment of the near-surface storage facility for solid radioactive waste type 2 (SRW-2) at the Vector Complex, following programs approved by the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine (SNRIU). The tests were overseen by representatives of SNRIU and the Rivne NPP. Test programs included:
Testing of the equipment and systems involved in the handling of RAW packages.
Testing of the drainage water removal systems.
Successful completion of these tests signifies the conclusion of the construction stage of the SRW-2 storage facility.
