On February 6, at the invitation of the State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone Management, French Ambassador to Ukraine Etienne de Ponsin visited the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone with an official visit. The delegation visited the objects of enterprises that operate in the Exclusion Zone, including the objects of the SSE “CEMRW” – RWDS “Buryakivka”, Vektor Complex and transport department.
Nuclear power plays a leading role in the production of electricity in France, there are 19 nuclear power plants within their territory, and the country also has a heavy engineering industry. Both the French side and Ukraine are interested in ensuring cooperation in this direction.
