Last week in the city of Bucharest, Romania, the meetings were held with representatives of the US Department of Energy regarding the further implementation of works on the modernization of physical protection at the storage facility of radioactive waste and the needs of Ukraine for the safe transportation of radioactive waste in Ukraine.
Representatives of the State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone Management (SAUEZM), State Nuclear Inspectorate of Ukraine (SNRIU), State Specialized Enterprise “Central Enterprise for the Management of Radioactive Waste
(SSE “CEMRW”) and Radon Association took part in the meetings from the Ukrainian side.
The issues of modernization of physical protection for the State Specialized Enterprise “Central Enterprise for the Management of Radioactive, the needs of the Ukrainian side in updating of the container and car park due to the international support were discussed.
To sum up, progress was noted in the the implementation of projects for the creation of communication networks in the exclusion zone, provision of compensatory means of energy stability at the Vektor Сomplex.
